Tracheitis
What is Tracheitis?
Tracheitis is an inflammation of the trachea, usually secondary to a nose or throat infection. Bacterial tracheitis is a bacterial infection of the trachea and is capable of producing airway obstruction.
Symptoms of Tracheitis:
- High Fever
- Deep Severe Cough
- Difficulty Breathing
- Wheezing
- Nasal Flaring
- Cyanosis, a blue tinge to their skin
- Crowing sound when inhaling
- “Scratchy” feeling in the throat
- Chest pain
- Ear ache
- Headache
- Dizziness (light headed)
